The Team

Justin Alderson, Managing Director

The company is headed by Justin Alderson. Justin has thirteen years experience in market research, both in agencies (Taylor Nelson Sofres and Research International) and at British Airways AIR MILES where he was Market Research Manager before setting up Aurora Market Research.

He has been conducting online research using the market leading Confirmit interviewing software for over eight years.

Across the team we have a large number of years of research experience on both client and agency side, and a project team working with you will be selected based on our relevant experiences:

Anne Bowden, Associate Director

Anne has over 10 years of experience clientside at Thames Water and Avon Cosmetics, and ran her own market research agency for 3 years. Her experience encompasses the full range of qualitative and quantitative techniques across a variety of sectors, and includes brand/ image studies, advertising research, customer satisfaction, customer tracking, employee engagement, and new product research.

Dan Kelly, Senior Research Executive

Dan has 5 years agency experience, both on and off-line. He has a strong technical background and is our resident expert in online reporting tools and media-based surveys. Dan also has experience conducting conjoint and trade-off projects

Emmylou Rahtz, Senior Research Executive

Emmy joined Aurora early in 2008, with 5 years agency experience at RONIN and Opinionpanel. She has a strong background in building online panels and conducting online research. She is also experienced in researching young people

Tom Lobban, Senior Research Executive

Tom joined Aurora in 2005 after graduating from university with an economics degree. Tom specialises in customer satisfaction research and customer relationship management. Tom is particularly skilled in conducting research in the Travel and Leisure sectors

Judy Ovens – Consultant

Judy has 20 years experience gained at NOP, RSGB and SGARI. She was at SGARI for 12 years and was appointed a board director in 1997. Judy has worked with Unilever, Nestle, L’Oreal and Weetabix on all aspects of product research, branding and concept testing

Emma Huq, Panel Manager

Emma is the main point of contact for enquiries regarding our online panel, Justtheanswer. She is also responsible for the recruitment and day-to-day maintenance of the panel, to ensure continued high quality response from our panel

Rachel Wear, Research Executive

Rachel joined the company in December 2006, having spent a number of years conducting scientific research in and around her native Australia.

Kiertan Matharoo, Research Executive

Kiertan joined the company in October 2007, having completed her degree at the University of Brighton. Kiertan completed her dissertation in comparing online and face-to-face methodologies, and has also worked for IPSOS-Mori, where she gained experience in the employee, sports and leisure research.

Roksana Goc, Research Executive

Roksana joined the company in October 2007. Roksana holds a Masters Degree from Cracow University of Economics where she gained experience in market segmentation and presenting information on new clients. She has extensive experience in creating marketing tools and maintaining databases.

Angela Murray, Research Executive

Angela is the most recent recruit to the Aurora team, joining us from ToLuna in January 2008. Angela holds a degree in psychology from Aston University.  

Adrian Ward, Research Executive

Adrian is the most recent recruit to the Aurora team, having previously worked at University of Hertfordshire specialising in student research.
